This Week at Churchill Estates Retirement Community

Each week we will present a run down of highlights of what will be going on at Churchill Estates Retirement Community in the coming week.

It’s the Monday before Christmas and all through the building, everyone is hustling and bustling around getting ready for Christmas! After a really packed week last week with concerts and special events, this week we will be finishing up our shopping for presents.

We would like to pass along our thanks to everyone who came and shared their gifts of music with our residents here at Churchill Estates. The Big Foot Lane Band, who joined us on the 11th, the O’Hara Children’s Choir who brought the house down with their singing and choreography on the 12th. We were joined on the 13th by the Maralee Singers thank you for your beautiful voices. Friday we had our Christmas Party, Stan the Accordion Man played all kinds of Christmas music while Santa (played by Don Nau) walked around handing out party favors and taking pictures with the residents, even making a surprise visit to several residents rooms who couldn’t make it to the party, we can’t thank Don enough for taking extra time to make our residents day. For pictures please go to our Facebook page, also check out our top 12 Christmas songs as voted by our residents and staff! www.facebook.com/churchillesatesrc

Today we will be going to find some hidden treasures and stocking stuffers at St. Vincent DePaul’s. Our residents seem to find a trove of treasures each time they go, can’t wait to see their haul today.  Christmas movies will be being watched all over the facility this week in preparation for the big day.

Wednesday and Christmas lunch will be served at 1:00 PM and dinner for each day will be a sack dinner, this gives us an opportunity to give our hard working staff a little time with their families during Christmas time. We hope you all have a great week with your families!
