Catching up on 2014

Due to the day when we launched the website, we got a little carried away by the excitement of having the Ducks coming to play Wii Bowling, but there are many other things that happened so far in 2014. Here is a little rundown of the highlights.

This year has been a very busy one so far for Churchill Estates. This past winter was one of the coldest and snowiest in the United States and even in Lane County, we witnessed some of the deepest snow recorded in recent history this February. This summer was one of the hottest summers in history and one of the driest as well!

Thanks again to the Honor Students at Churchill High School for another great “Senior Prom” at Churchill Estates! It’s always great to have your Seniors connect with ours. If you missed the video, please enjoy it in the link provided here. . .

Churchill Estates' original Memory Care replaced the carpet in the hallway with a freshly installed new floor that looks outstanding!  Stop over and have a look for yourself.

In our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Residential Care dining rooms we received new Juice and Coffee machines. At Churchill Estates we believe staying hydrated is a huge component to our overall general health so stop by and fill your cup today.

We have welcomed a lot of new residents this year. We look forward to getting to know each of them and their personalities even more in the future.

Our Mother’s Day Tea was a huge hit and we were excited and thrilled to have such a big turn out for the event in celebration of all the Moms here at Churchill. Hope to see you all again next Mother’s Day.

Congratulations to many of our staff members from the kitchen and dining room who graduated from high school this spring. We are all so proud of you and wish you great success.

Western Week is always a lot of fun at Churchill Estates. We had a rootin’ tootin’ good time celebrating all things cowboy, country, and Western. We wrass’led up some good grub, put on our best boots, and kicked up our heels to the swingin’ sounds of the Bigfoot Lane Band! Yee-Haw!!!

Speaking of good grub, our Father’s Day celebration at Churchill Estates featured a breakfast trip to Ye Olde Pancake House and a delicious BBQ Lunch. We all know the key to a man’s heart is through his stomach and all these Dads were feeling the love! Sure beats getting a tie as a gift!

We always have fun on our bus trips, especially when they include stops at the casino and Mo's in Florence. Our latest trip there was no exception. Who know's where our next adventure will take us.

We were joined by Halau Hula o Na Pua o Hawaii Nei for our Hawaiian days and Luau party, they presented many dances for our residents. We want to thank them for sharing their skills with us.

There were many other things that have happened in between now and the beginning of the year, and we look forward to everything that the last month of the year has to offer.
