This Week at Churchill Estates

OUR WEEKLY PRESENTATION OF HIGHLIGHTS REGARDING WHAT WILL BE GOING ON AT CHURCHILL ESTATES RETIREMENT COMMUNITY, WE ALSO TAKE A LOOK AT WHATS GOING ON AROUND EUGENE, SPRINGFIELD, AND INTERESTING THINGS HAPPENING IN LANE COUNTY OREGON.

The local weather returns to normal December conditions. Highs in the mid 40's today and tomorrow. Thursday we'll break 50 degrees and things cool down again after that.

In sports, Willie Taggart tapped into his Jim Harbaugh connections again poaching Michigan's Offensive Analyst Jimmie Dougherty as Oregon's new Wide Receivers Coach. Dougherty joins Defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt as the second member of Willie Taggart's coaching staff. Meanwhile, Gary Campbell's run as the nations longest tenured coach is over. After Serving as the Ducks Running backs Coach since 1983 under the likes of Rich Brooks, Mike Bellotti, Chip Kelly, and Mark Helfrich, Campbell announced on twitter he is leaving the program. Oregon led the Pac-12 in rushing for 10 consecutive years before falling to second this year. Thanks for your decades of service Coach! In our eyes Campbell will always be Oregon's best dressed coach. Go Ducks!

At Churchill, this week we started off with a trip out to lunch at Izzy's Pizza. Today we have Coloring Club. Wednesday we'll put on our best flip-flops and go shopping at Walmart. Thursday features Mindful Movement Yoga. Friday we sing our way into the weekend with our marketing director John.

From all of us at Churchill Estates. . . HAPPY NEW YEAR!
