This Week at Churchill Estates

Each week we present a run down of highlights of what will be going on at Churchill Estates Retirement Community in the coming week. The weather looks pretty good this week with Rain Monday but plenty of sunshine in the forecast and temps in the low 80's later in the week! Remember to use sunscreen and stay hydrated! 

In local sports. The Oregon Ducks Softball team suffered a tough loss to #16 ranked UCLA Sunday. Next up for the squad is Portland State on Tuesday at 3:00 pm here in Eugene. 

The buzz At Churchill Estates is high this week as we prepare for two big events that are keeping excitement levels high! Thursday marks our 2016 Senior Prom at 2:00 pm. This year the Honor Society Students at Churchill High will throw a 1950's Theme Bash for OUR Seniors. the event is open to the public so tell your friends and get ready for an afternoon of music, dancing, and a whole lot of fun! 

Also, We are very excited about Eugene Vocal Arts, Eugene Concert Choir Remembrances, conducted by Diane Retallack, featuring the world premiere of Shadow & Light, a new composition my Joan Szymko Friday, April 8th at 730 pm and Sunday April 10th at 2:30 pm. Both performances are at the Beall Concert Hall on the U of O Campus.  Remembrances gives voice to the challenges, courage, and loving acceptance of people and caregivers affected by Alzheimer's Disease and dementia. Monday our residents will board the bus and go shopping at the new Hobby Lobby in Springfield. Tuesday we'll pass the time betting nickels playing a few hands of poker. Wednesday we'll have another shopping excursion, this time to Safeway and Rite Aid. Thursday join us in the morning for Coffee Klatch and the Prom in the afternoon. Friday ends the week with Bingo, Pinochle, and more Poker.
