It's easy to understand the reasons why people need to go to work every day. To support themselves and their families with providing a roof over their heads, food in the fridge, and luxury items like cars, and trips. One of the other reasons people go to work everyday is a compelling desire to help, care for, and serve others. These are the types of reasons people work at care communities like Churchill Estates. Two paychecks. One for the Bank, one for the Heart.
On any given day, without even trying terribly hard, you can witness acts of kindness and compassion from the employees to our residents. From small gestures like a quick smile as you say hello, to helping problem solve large personal issues, it is seemingly an endless well of love and support, along with copious amounts of empathy provided by the staff. Having the internal need to discover likes and dislikes, learning the small gestures that will bring them a smile and the things that they are passionate about. Taking the time to get to know individual they serve and the person they were in their younger days, and how it shaped them into they person they are today.
These wonderful qualities are abundant in every department, from the server in the dining room, the maintenance guys and housekeeping ladies, the direct care staff, the activities coordinators and managers it's great to see so many people caring for people. You can even see it in the residents caring for one another too. Small acts of kindness go a long, long way. Way to go team! Thank you for making a difference! Thank you for being the heart of Churchill Estates!
