Each week we will present a run down of highlights of what will be going on at Churchill Estates Retirement Community in the coming week. We’ve finally gotten some rain the last few days, and this morning its really foggy, but its Monday morning and we are ready for the week. Our cherry trees are starting to blossom and the madness of March is upon us!
Today we are going to play Bingo up at Valley West, its always a fun time to socialize with their residents and have some fun. Tomorrow of course is St. Patrick’s Day, and we expect to see a lot of green, however this isn’t new to us as lots of people wear green every day with their Oregon Duck apparel. If you come to Churchill and you aren’t wearing green tomorrow, keep your head on a swivel or you might get pinched!
Wednesday we will have a busy afternoon, two events happening at 1:30 PM will split our residents as we go on our weekly shopping trip to Albertson’s and have a co-ed Wii Bowling Tournament. A lot of our residents have been practicing to be ready for the tournament, right now if you walked past our Multi-Purpose Room you would find four ladies practicing to beat the guys! Last tournament the ladies held off the men in a close fought battle, and the men will look to get a little revenge.
Thursday is the start of an exciting time of year as the NCAA tournament known as March Madness begins. Our attention will be especially peaked on Friday, as the Ducks will take on Oklahoma State in Omaha, Nebraska. Cheer on the Ducks with us, times haven’t been released but most likely it will be broadcasted on KVAL. Also on Friday Gordon will be here to play his guitar in the Residential Care lobby. Some fun things going on this week join us!
