OUR WEEKLY PRESENTATION OF HIGHLIGHTS REGARDING WHAT WILL BE GOING ON AT CHURCHILL ESTATES RETIREMENT COMMUNITY, WE ALSO TAKE A LOOK AT WHATS GOING ON AROUND EUGENE, SPRINGFIELD, AND INTERESTING THINGS HAPPENING IN LANE COUNTY OREGON.
The bone-chilling Ice storm appears to have let up for the moment. All of last week Lane County Oregon has been blasted by freezing temperatures and covered with a layer of ice. Branches and entire trees have collapsed under the weight and power was, and in some cases still is, out for thousands of people in our area. Today we'll thaw out some with temps above freezing, Tuesday should be the weeks warmest day near 50, but we expect more rain and cold weather later this week.
In sports, the Oregon Duck Basketball teams flew the coup and nested safely in the Moda Center but both continue to do well with the Men's team winning 83-63 against UNLV despite the absence of Chris Boucher and the Ladies trouncing PSU 90-46 on a career night for Ruthy Hebard. Go Ducks!
